KASU to rebroadcast mayoral candidate interviews
KASU 91.9 FM will rebroadcast one-on-one interviews with each of the
four Jonesboro mayoral candidates at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25
and again at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28. KASU’s Mark Smith
initially conducted these interviews live on the air earlier this
month as part of the popular program, Morning Edition. Each
candidate was given a list of potential topics open for discussion
in the interviews, but specific questions were not be given to the
candidates in advance. Each candidate was interviewed for
approximately 20 minutes. Station manager Mike Doyle noted that the
great interest in the mayoral race prompted the station to broadcast
these interviews with Jonesboro's outstanding array of candidates
again. KASU is a National Public Radio member-station and the
broadcasting service of Arkansas State University.
