Special election for higher education: Dec. 13
On Tuesday, Dec. 13, Arkansans will have the
opportunity to decide on two ballot proposals, with one of them being very
important to ASU -- the Arkansas Higher Education Technology and
Facility Improvement Act of 2005. Approval will mean $9 million for
two major projects at ASU: joining the research E-corridor and a new
classroom building to replace Wilson Hall. For details, see Dr. Les Wyatt's
report in last week's First Friday.
Early voting is available in the area through Monday, Dec. 12. Most
County Clerk's offices encourage you to take your photo ID, just in
case it is needed for verification. To view the actual ballot title
on the Arkansas Secretary of State's web site,
go here.
