Bradbury Gallery announces Spring 2008 Senior Exhibition
The BrKaren DeBaun's "Heron at sunset," digital photo, 14 x 11 inchesadbury Gallery will host its Spring 2008 Senior Exhibition with an opening reception on Thursday, May 1, at 5 p.m. Work in this exhibition will include drawings, prints, paintings, photographs, mixed media objects, and video projection. The exhibition closes Saturday, May 10. Both exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public. The Bradbury Gallery’s hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 12 noon to 5 p.m. and from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday. The gallery is closed Monday. College of Agriculture hosts New Ground Classic
ASU's College of Agriculture will hold its fifth annual New Ground Classic Golf Tournament on Friday, May 2, at Sage Meadows Golf Course in Jonesboro. A 10 a.m. shotgun start is scheduled. The event, a major fundraiser for the College of Agriculture, directly benefits student programs in the college, such as the nine student organizations within the college, student travel for education field trips and to professional meetings, support of the college's student ambassadors, enhancement of teaching facilities, and curriculum enhancement. ASU Regional Farmers' Market opens Saturday
The ASU Regional Farmers' Market opens Saturday, May 3rd from 7:00 a.m. until all merchandise is sold out. The market will be open every Saturday at 7:00 a.m. from Saturday, May 3-October 25. The market will also be open from 2-6 p.m. every Tuesday from June 17-mid-August. The ASU Regional Farmers' Market is located on the northeast corner of Stadium Blvd. and Aggie Road (entry is from Aggie Road).


Hispanic Celebration in May benefits ASU
Cinco de Mayo, the Hispanic Celebration in May, presents its annual arts and music festival, which will take place on Saturday, May 3, at St. Bernards Auditorium in Jonesboro. The festival runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., with a dance from from 7 p.m.-1 a.m. Northeast Arkansans can enjoy and share Hispanic culture. Today is National Walk@Lunch Day
Today at 12 noon, ASU and other local businesses will participate in National Walk@Lunch Day. The event, sponsored by Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield and hosted by ASU, costs nothing except a little time. The event encourages employees to get out and walk today. Participants will walk along a one-mile path beginning and ending at the Chi Omega fountain on Aggie Road west of the Student Union. For details, contact Chris Enger, ext. 3974.

ASU SBDC offers small business training seminars in May
ASU's
Small Business Development Center is offering affordable training seminars to small business owners in Northeast Arkansas throughout May. Seminars focus on current, practical information covering a wide variety of business topics, such as business and financial planning, financing, marketing, government contracting, and computer/Internet technology.
