Commencement ceremony is Friday
December commencement ceremonies at ASU began 20 years ago, on Dec. 20, 1986. The class was smaller then; 368 degrees were awarded. That also was the last commencement ceremony held in the old fieldhouse. Things have changed. This Friday, Dec. 15, ASU has 730 candidates for degrees, 563 undergraduates and 167 graduate students. Everyone is invited to the reception following the ceremony at the Convocation Center.
