Dr. Guha and Ph.D. candidate present papers
Dr. Gauri S. Guha, Economics, recently presented two papers at the refereed Southern Economic Conference in Charleston, S. C. One paper,
“Modeling the Economic Impacts of Sectorally Differentiated Supply Availabilities of Electricity – A CGE Analysis of Lifeline Losses Following a Potential Earthquake in Memphis, Tennessee,” was co-authored with  Dr. Adam Z. Rose, Penn State. The second paper, "Economic Impacts of Controlling Agriculture-Related Phosphorus Runoff in Eastern Arkansas,” was co-authored with Rodney Wright, a Ph.D. candidate in the Environmental Sciences program. Dr. Guha is also the associate director of the International Business Resource Center.

Keith makes presentation at conference
Rhonda KeithRhonda Keith, Degree Center Coordinator, Financial Aid and Scholarships, presented at the fall meeting of the Arkansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (AASFAA) in Bentonville on Nov. 11-13. “Cost of Attendance” was the topic of her presentation. Keith is also on the Planning Committee for the 2007 Spring AASFAA Conference.

Soil & Water Conference set for Thursday, Jan. 11
The Arkansas Soil and Water Education Conference is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 11, at the Convocation Center. Congressman Marion Berry will be the luncheon speaker. The registration fee is $20, which includes the luncheon. Sessions will be held all day, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Pre-registration is requested by Friday, Jan. 5, and forms may be obtained by calling 972-2043. To register online, click here. Administration Building to host holiday open house

Library exhibit features world's winter holidays
Reminder: The Dean B. Ellis Library's newest exhibit celebrates winter holidays around the world, including but not limited to Christmas, New Year's Day, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. Three 6˝ foot banners feature 49 home countries for ASU’s international students and their major winter holidays. The exhibit is
on the third floor of the library until early January and may be viewed during library operating hours. For details on hosting your program or exhibit in the space, contact April Sheppard.
