Fall break underway this week
Classes are not in session this week; Fall Break is underway.  Therefore, this edition of Inside ASU will be abbreviated because so many faculty and staff are away from campus.  The next edition of Inside ASU will be Monday, Nov. 28.

Sir Harold Evans to be on campus Nov. 30
Sir Harold Evans, author of the
critically acclaimed book, “They Made America: Innovators from Steam Engines to Search Engines: Two Centuries of Innovators,” will discuss his work during the next presentation in the Lecture-Concert Series on Wednesday, Nov. 30.  Click here for details.

Invite an international student to Thanksgiving
The International Students Office is seeking faculty and staff who would be willing to share the traditional American holiday of Thanksgiving Day with an international student.  Few of these students are able to go home during the fall break, so a touch of family here is always appreciated.  Call Lou or Andrew at 972-2329 if you have an interest.

Creative cooking for non-traditional students
Non-traditional students are invited to a class on Creative Cooking Wednesday, Nov. 30, in the Mockingbird Room of the Student Union.  The emphasis will be "How to cook on a budget, creatively," a big help for this group. The Sodexho team will assist with the cooking session, which was rescheduled from its original date at the Edge.

Benefits enrollment continues through Nov. 30
Human Resources will continue to conduct benefits open enrollment for the 2006 year through Wednesday, Nov. 30.
This is time changes and additions can be made.  Individuals who have not done so are encouraged to make an appointment with their HR representative.
