KASU 91.9 sets live interviews with mayoral candidates
The broadcasting service of ASU, KASU 91.9 FM, will broadcast live interviews with each of the four Jonesboro mayoral candidates at 8:19 a.m. on Monday-Thursday, Oct. 6-9. KASU’s Mark Smith will conduct the interviews. This is Jonesboro's only opportunity to hear the candidates live. Each candidate will be given a list of potential topics open for discussion in the live interviews, but specific questions will not be given to the candidates in advance. The candidates will be allowed to address each pre-determined topic or to be interviewed for a total of twenty minutes, whichever occurs first.  Harold Perrin will be interviewed on Monday, Oct. 6; Alec Farmer on Tuesday, Oct. 7; Felicia Parks on Wednesday, Oct. 8; and Jason Willett on Thursday, Oct. 9. "Public affairs programming is something the KASU audience expects and deserves," says station manager Mike Doyle. "We’re glad to broadcast these interviews with an outstanding array of candidates." KASU is a National Public Radio member station. For details, contact Marty Scarbrough, program director, at ext. 2367.
