Noted BBC reporter to
visit ASU research site
Sir
David Attenborough, the award-winning writer and broadcaster for the
BBC, will be in Arkansas Monday, July 31, to visit a salamander
research site operated by Dr. Stan Trauth, Zoology. Attenborough is working on “Life in Cold Blood,” the most recent in
his series of natural science specials. The site that Attenborough
will visit is in Garland County, near Hot Springs. The special is

Ed Coulter
named chairman of AACC
Dr. Ed Coulter, chancellor of ASU-Mountain
Home, has been named chairman of the board for the American
Association of Community Colleges (AACC). Coulter was elected by the
32-member AACC Board of Directors and will serve a one-year term
that began July 1. The AACC is the national organization
representing the nation’s 1,200 community, junior and
technical colleges and it's 11.6 million students. For more details,

Time for new parking
permits . . .
The Department of Parking
Services will have permit distribution centers throughout the campus
next week, July 17-21, to distribute parking permits for 2006-07.
Permits will also be available beginning Monday, July 17, at the DPS
office located at the corner of Johnson Avenue and Caraway Rd. in
Northpark Plaza, Suite D, during regular business hours.
The distribution centers will be held on Monday, July 17,
in the Student Union from 9-11 a.m. and the Dean B. Ellis Library from 2-4 p.m.;
Tuesday, July 18, in the Education/Communications building from 9-11 a.m.
and the Agriculture building from
2-4 p.m.; Wednesday, July 19, in the Chickasaw building from 9-11 a.m.
and the Business building from 2-4
p.m.; Thursday, July 20, in Facilities Management from 9-11 a.m.
and Friday, July 21, in the Convocation Center from 9-11 a.m.
