Sodexo Summer Events for July @ Student
Union
Sodexo Campus Dining Services is sponsoring numerous summer events
that are open to all ASU students, faculty, staff and their
families. All events will be held in the Student Union from 5:30 -
6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
** A Watermelon Feast ($1 a slice) -- July 5
** Bingo Bash (50 cents a card) -- July 12
** Decorate Your Own Giant Cookie ($3) -- July 19
** Make Your Own Pizza ($3) -- July 26

summer interns
introduced
The first three students selected for the "Honors Summer
Undergraduate Research Internship in Biotechnology" were
introduced to the news media Tuesday at the Arkansas Biosciences
Institute on campus. ABI collaborated with The Honors College
for these research opportunities. The interns and
their respective faculty mentors are: Ritika Gera of Jonesboro, Dr.
Anne Grippo; Swati Mishra of Jonesboro, Dr. Malathi Srivatsan; and
Kristen Shelton of Benton, Dr. Fabricio Medina-Bolivar and Dr. Anne Grippo.
ASU is closed Tuesday for
Independence Day
Reminder: Today is the last day of
classes for Summer Session I, with final exams tomorrow. ASU will be
closed on Tuesday, July 4, for Independence Day. The second summer
term begins on Wednesday and continues until
Wednesday, Aug. 2. August Commencement will be held on Friday, Aug.
4. The fall semester begins on Monday, Aug. 21, with
residence hall
move-in day
scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 19.
