More than 250 custodians and maintenance workers from school districts and community colleges in northeast Arkansas attended this training at ASU. According to Danny Faulk in Facilities Management, the emphasis was on “cleaning green,” an environmentally friendly approach to cleaning that uses non-toxic cleaning chemicals and other practices to assure a healthy building. In addition, a state-mandated training was offered to all those in attendance for blood-borne pathogens and asbestos awareness.
