Dr. Susan Roehrig publishes
article in journal
Dr. Susan Roehrig, Physical
Therapy, had an article, "Use of Neurodevelopmental
Treatment Techniques in a Client with Kyphosis: A Case Report," in
the latest issue of Physiotherapy Theory and Practice.
While neurodevelopmental treatment methods developed for use with
individuals who have had strokes are common, her article
described the use of neurodevelopmental methods in a client who was
not a stroke victim, but whose musculoskeletal impairments of the
upper back and shoulder girdle were similar to those seen in
clients who had suffered strokes.
Leadership Development series
to host Dr. Kimbrough
Dr. Walter M. Kimbrough, 12th
president of Philander Smith College, will be the
fourth
featured speaker in the Leadership Development Series. At age 39, he
is the youngest president of an historically black college or
university, and he is the first college president from the hip-hop
generation. He has forged a national reputation as an expert on
historically black fraternities and sororities. He will speak at
6:30 p.m. in the Student Union Auditorium on Thursday, Jan. 25. For

Faculty recital slated by Department of Music
ASU's Department of Music will present the
third concert in the 2006-2007 Faculty Recital Series, featuring
Lauren Schack Clark, Ken Hatch, Ed Owen, and guest artists John
Mueller and Arthur Hart, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25, in Riceland
Hall, Fowler Center. The concert is free and open to the public. For

Delta Blues Symposium XIII
issues call for proposals
The Department of English and
Philosophy announces the 13th annual Delta Blues Symposium, Mar.
29-31, 2007. The theme of this year's symposium is The 1960s.
Program proposals, for either individual presentations or panels,
and dealing with any or all aspects of the Delta or the blues, are
invited. Proposals should be sent as 100-word abstracts, and the
deadline for submissions is Jan. 22. Creative writers, artists, and
scholars and students of the physical and natural sciences are urged
to apply. Send proposals to

Lipizzaner Stallions come to
Convocation Center
The world-famous Lipizzaner stallions will perform Tuesday, Feb. 6
at 7:30 p.m. at the Convocation Center. The performance includes
many of the traditional movements and exercises of the renowned
Spanish Riding School of Vienna, including the balletic leaps and
maneuvers of the "airs above the ground." Tickets start at $21.50
