Student leaders at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro have announced
the final plans for Homecoming Week 2007. “Saturday Night Fever”
will be Monday-Saturday, Oct. 8-13, prior to the football game against
Louisiana-Lafayette in Indian Stadium at 6:05 p.m.
The Student Activities Board plans the events for the week. Students or
student organizations participate and compete to win the President’s
Cup, which SAB announces at the game at halftime.
The kick-off is the annual step show at the Convocation Center on
Monday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. The clues to begin the hunt for Clyde’s
Moccasins will be available at 8 a.m. in the Tribal Leadership Center.
The hunt will last until someone finds them.
The preliminary voting for Homecoming Court will be on Thursday, Oct. 4,
during the week prior to Homecoming. Voting for the King and Queen will take
place on Thursday, Oct. 11 in the center court of the Student Union and
the 2nd floor entrance of the Library. The final competitive
event will be the “Yell like Hell” Football Pep Rally at Heritage Plaza
on the east side of the Student Union.
