Department of Music to present 
Trombone Choir Concert

Oct. 25, 2005 -- The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present the Trombone Choir in concert on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Riceland Hall of Fowler Center.

Conducted by Dr. Neale Bartee, musical selections for the concert will include “Royal Music” by Irvin L. Wagner; “A Joyous Prelude” by Jared Spears; “Scarborough Fair” by Art Garfunkel, arranged by Bill Reichenbach; “Tower Music” by Vaclav Nelhybel; “Quintessentially Blue” by Tom Fredrickson, played by Dad’s Bones; “August” by Michael Davis, performed by Jason Payne, Daniel Harrelson, Lanny Heidbreder, and Corey Spencer; “Misty” by Erroll Garner, arranged by Jay Henry with a bass trombone solo by Corey Spencer; and “Goin’ Out of My Head” by Teddy Randazzo and Bobby Weinstein, arranged by Irvin L. Wagner. 

Personnel for the Trombone Choir include Ryan Barnet of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Nick Ginn of Marion, Daniel Harrelson of Warren, Lanny Heidbreder of Corning, J.D. Hogue of Jonesboro, Blake Howerton of Paragould, Treavor Mitchell of Westside, Casey Murphy of Pocahontas, Eric Palmer of Bald Knob, Jason Payne of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Jeremy Ramsey of Brinkley, and Corey Spencer of Wynne, trombones; Jay Shepherd of Paragould, guitar; Matt Vardell of Jonesboro, piano; Tonya Spurlock of Ash Flat, bass; and Katie Cravens of Jonesboro, drums.
