Nov. 23, 2005 -- The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present the ASU Tribe in concert on Monday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Riceland Hall of Fowler Center. The ASU Tribe is directed by Ed Alexander. Musical selections for this concert will include an “Ornithology” by Charlie Parker, arranged by Holmes; “Don’t Know Why” by Jesse Harris, arranged by Murtha with guest vocalist Ashley McBryde; “Bags Groove” by Milt Jackson, arranged by Clayton; “Back Burner” by Carmine Pastore; “Fever” by J. Davenport and E. Cooley, arranged by Holmes with vocalists Ashley McBryde and Blake Howerton; “Late Night at the L.Q.” by Ladd McIntosh; and “Apple Honey” by Woody Herman.
