Fowler Center presents comedy
act Second City, Oct. 9-10
September 28, 2006 - The Fowler Center at Arkansas State University in
Jonesboro presents comedy act,
Second City, on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 9-10, at 7:30 p.m.
Second City has been described as a cross between “Saturday Night Live”
and “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Its alumni list includes Alan Arkin, Joan
Rivers, Robert Klein, John Belushi, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Gilda
Radner, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Chris Farley, and Tina Fey.
Known for comedy that is both hilarious and thought provoking, smart and
silly, and sophisticated and wild, Second City has performed in every
state of the union and to international audiences from Singapore to
Vienna.
Second City will perform Truth, Justice, or the American Way in the
Fowler Center Drama Theatre. The performances may contain mature
language and subject matter.
The Fowler Center season features eight performances, four of which are
Riceland Distinguished Performance events. Individual tickets to the
Second City performances are $30 and $20 for adults; $23 and $15 for
students and senior citizens; with a special ASU student rate of $10 and
$6. “Build your own season,” includes tickets to any four events for
$100 and $65 for adults and $75 and $45 for senior citizens and
students.
