Michayla Matthiessen, museum educator, is the instructor.

The ceramics class will be held Monday, June 5, through Friday, June 9, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. for students 9-14 years old. Students will work with clay to produce a variety of ceramic forms. The earthquakes, volcanoes and tornadoes class will be held Monday, June 12, through Friday, June 16, from 9 a.m. until noon for students 6-11 years old. Students will learn about what causes natural disasters in a hands-on class experience. They will explore earthquakes with shake tables and seismographs, make their own tornado, watch an erupting volcano, and explore tidal waves. Not only will students learn about the natural disasters but they will also learn how to prepare for them. Michayla Matthiessen is the instructor.
