October 9, 2006 - Arkansas State University in Jonesboro announces the final plans for Homecoming 2006 on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 20-21 surrounding the football game against North Texas in Indian Stadium at 6:05 p.m.

Students have a full week of activities, leading up to the Saturday game.

On Friday, Oct. 20, the A-State class of 1956 will be honored at a reunion brunch.

On Saturday, Oct. 21, the ASU Alumni Association will host a tailgate party prior to the football game on the west side of Indian Stadium. 'Chippy Kazoo' the clown will provide entertainment for children, and all alumni are invited to attend the tailgate which is sponsored by AT&T.

At halftime of the football game, the Distinguished Alumni for 2006 will be recognized along with the announcement of the Homecoming Court. This year's Distinguished Alumni are Sherland Hamilton of Rector and Marilyn Hummelstein of Jonesboro.

The ASU Alumni Association will host its annual 5th Quarter party at the Holiday Inn Holidome on South Caraway Road in Jonesboro from 9 p.m. to midnight, featuring live music by the popular local band, Bow Legged Rooster.
