Ellen Morgan, David Huckabee
named 2001 ASU Homecoming Queen, King


Ellen Morgan of White Hall and David Huckabee of Little Rock were named Arkansas State University’s 2001 Homecoming Queen and King during halftime at the Indians versus Jacksonville State game Saturday, Sept. 22.

Morgan, a junior international business major, is a member of Chi Omega sorority. A Tribal Leader, she serves as director of the "Up ‘Till Dawn" fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis. She also is a Diamond Doll for the ASU baseball program.

She is the daughter of Mary and Randy Morgan of White Hall, and the granddaughter of Hand Holderfield of Rison and Bobbie Brown of Malvern.

Huckabee, a senior political science major, is president of the Union Advisory Board and is the former president of the Student Government Association. Co-chair of the Leadership Program for ASU, Huckabee was also selected as the Chi Omega sorority "Man of the Year."

He is the son of Gov. Mike and Janet Huckabee of Little Rock, and the grandson of Pat Stephens of Hope.
