Oct. 27, 2005 -- The annual Miss Greek Goddess, a fundraiser benefiting the Northeast Arkansas Food Bank and Hurricane Relief Fund, will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive.

Miss Greek Pledge is a beauty pageant sponsored by the men of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. The event is filled with various forms of entertainment including comedy and talent.  This year’s competition will feature 15 sorority members nominated by members of the 22 Greek organizations on the ASU campus.  The new members compete in various contests including formal wear, talent and skit, and costume. From these categories one lucky member will be crowned the 2005 Miss Greek Goddess.

In addition to the funds raised at the event, each sorority will also be holding a can food drive. This is held in conjunction with the members of Lambda Chi Alpha benefit for the Great North American Food Drive. The mission of Lambda Chi Alpha is to offer the best fraternal experience, focusing on personal character development through leadership, scholarship, community service, and positive social experiences.
