Dinner and a Movie to feature "Ladder 49" for parents and prospective students

Jan. 24, 2005--The Office of Enrollment Services at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro is hosting Dinner and a Movie Monday, Jan. 31, in the new Student Union for 2005 graduating high school seniors and their parents.

All the activities, which are free, will take place in the new Student Union beginning at 5 p.m. Dinner begins at approximately 5:20 p.m. with a presentation at 6 p.m. “Ladder 49” will begin for the students in the auditorium of the Student Union at 6:30 p.m. while the parents attend an informative meeting with coffee and dessert in the Mockingbird Room.

Parents may attend the movie, visit with ASU faculty and staff, tour the Student Union or just relax in one of many lounges. The presentation at 6 p.m. (for both parents and students) prior to the movie will feature information about ASU academic programs, scholarships and financial aid programs, student services and much more.

Free parking is available beginning at 5 p.m. in the parking deck on Caraway Rd. across from the Chickasaw Building and adjacent to the Baptist Collegiate Ministry. Visitor parking is also available in designated areas around the building.
