Music Department presents ASU Wind Ensemble

The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro presents the ASU Wind Ensemble at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at Riceland Hall in the Fowler Center.

The ASU Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Ed Alexander, director of bands, will perform Early Light by Carolyn Bremer, Council Oak by David Gillingham, Sunrise at Angel’s Gate by Phillip Sparke, Exultate by Samuel Hazo, and Canzon, Fugato, & Hymn by Mark Camphouse.

Members of the ASU Wind Ensemble are Whitney Farris of Jonesboro, Tina Glover of Piggott, Ashleigh Rainwater of Jonesboro, Caitlin Sammons of Bald Knob, Lindsay Walker of Hot Springs, and Melinda Watts of Nixa, Mo., flute; Emily Quinn of Bradley, Ill., and Amy Dunivan of Jonesboro, oboe; Jessica Crociata of Tampa, Fla., English horn; Alyssa Johnson of Bryant, bassoon; Katie Bell of West Memphis, Justin Crabb and Terana Griffin, both of Paragould, Nicole Nebeker of Trumann, Jennifer Specking of Wynne, Staci Stewart of Prescott, Angela Scott of Jonesboro, Amy Van Slyke of Hardy, clarinet; Misti Cook of Russellville, bass clarinet; Crystal Aronson of Paragould, Allene Kirk of Ravenden, Jon Rohner of Bono, alto saxophone; Drew Breckenridge of Newport, tenor saxophone and Tim Miller of Jonesboro, baritone saxophone.

Other members are Sherri Fincher of Paragould, Grant Harbison of Jonesboro, Kate Puckett of Wilson, Alicia Deckard of Hardy, Chelsea Bills of Paragould, Peter Davis of Jonesboro, trumpet; Brannon Brown of Cabot, Kim Brown of Jonesboro, Lauren Grey of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Ashley McBride of Hardy, and Greg Osborne of Jonesboro, French horn; Daniel Harrellson of Jonesboro, Lanny Heidbreder of Corning, J.D. Houge, Blake Howerton and Kenji Fisk, all of Jonesboro, and Corey Spencer of Wynne, trombone; Andrew Biggs of Jonesboro, Laura Garoutte of Cabot, and John Hayes of Jonesboro, euphonium; Corey Emerson of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Ryan Riley of El Dorado, and Jay Shepard of Paragould, tuba.
