ASU will be closed Thursday, Feb. 1
due to hazardous weather conditions

Jan. 31, 2007 -- Officials at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro announced this evening that ASU-Jonesboro will be closed Thursday, Feb. 1, because of hazardous winter weather conditions.

The university will continue to provide essential services, including the dining hall for resident students.

Campus events that have been cancelled for Thursday:

    * Food for the Soul, Soul Food Dinner

Campus events that have been cancelled for Friday:

    * Craighead County Spelling Bee

Emergency calls to the university should be directed to the University Police Department, 870-972-2093.
