Department of Music to present
Wind Ensemble Concert

April 6, 2005--The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present the Wind Ensemble concert under the direction of Ed Alexander, director of bands, Thursday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive.

The concert will include “Olympiada” by Sam Hazo; “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff, arranged by John Krance; “Whatsoever Things” by Mark Camphouse; “Fantasia for Alto Saxophone” by Claude T. Smith with solo performance on alto saxophone by Jon Rohner; and “1st  Suite in Eb” by Gustav Holst.

Members of the Wind Ensemble include: Whitney Farris and Ashleigh Rainwater both of Jonesboro, Tina Glover of Piggott, Ashley Slayton of Paragould, Lindsay Walker of Hot Springs, Melinda Watts of Nixa, Mo., flute; Katie Bell of West Memphis, Justin Crabb of Paragould, Amanda Riley of Corning, Jennifer Specking of Wynne, Staci Stewart of Prescott, Amy Van Slyke of Hardy, clarinet; Misti Cook of Russellville, Sheena Gibson of Paragould, bass clarinet; Amy Dunivan of Jonesboro, Emily Quinn of Bradley, Ill., oboe; Jessica Crociata of Tampa, Fla., English horn; Brian Eckert of Jonesboro, Alyssa Johnson of Bryant, bassoon; Allene Kirk of Ravenden, Jon Rohner of Bono, alto saxophone; Drew Breckenridge of Newport, Katrinka Musumbi of Jonesboro, tenor saxophone; Tim Miller of Corning, baritone saxophone; Sheri Fincher and Max Rund, both of Paragould, Grant Harbison, Jonathon Monroe, and Peter Davis, all of Jonesboro, Kate Puckett of Wilson, trumpets; Brannon Brown of Cabot, Kim Brown and Lauren Grey, both of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Ashley McBride of Hardy, Jeremy Worthen of Paragould, French horn; J.D. Houge and Blake Howerton, both of Jonesboro, Daniel Harrellson of Warren, Lanny Heidbreder of Corning, Corey Spencer of Wynne, trombone;  Andrew Biggs of Jonesboro, Corey Emerson of Poplar Bluff, Forrest Rodgers of Jacksonville, euphonium; John Hays and Jason Tacker, both of Jonesboro, Ryan Riley of El Dorado, tuba; Alex Anderson of Marion, Cheyenne Sheppard, Katey Cravens, and Ben Runnels, all  of Jonesboro, Janet Haner of Trumann, Jason Holder of Newport, percussion.
