"Wallflowers" exhibition to open in Bradbury Gallery on March 4 “Wallflowers” will open Thursday, March 4, in the Bradbury Gallery of the Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Dr., on the campus of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. In all, 16 artists who share their own individual perspectives and interpretations of the flower are featured in the exhibit. Wallflowers features artists Keith Achepohl, Jacqueline Bishop, Blake Boyd, Jerry Brackett, Larry Edwards, Huger Foote, Shea Hembrey, Scott Ingram, Tad Lauritzen Wright, Cheryl Lavers, David Nester, Sally Markell, Pam Myrose, Bradley Sabin, Mary Sims and Pam Wagner. Their work in the exhibition will include drawings, paintings, photographs and ceramics. The exhibit, which will continue through April 18, is sponsored by The Posey Peddler with additional support from the Jonesboro Garden Club, Full Sun, and Flower Shop Network Inc. in Paragould. The Jonesboro Garden Club will hold their annual flower show in conjunction with the exhibit, creating flower arrangements inspired by the works in the gallery. The Flower Show will be held on Friday, April 16, in the Bradbury Gallery. An opening reception for Wallflowers will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 4. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and Sundays 2 – 5 p.m. The opening reception and exhibition are admission-free and open to the public.
