Symphonic Winds and the ASU
Concert Band to perform April 18


April 13, 2005--
The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present the Symphonic Winds and ASU Concert Band Monday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Riceland Hall of Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive.

The Symphonic Winds is under the direction of Dr. Kenneth D. Carroll. The repertoire for the evening will include: “Lauds and Tropes” by W. Francis McBeth; “River of Life” by Steven Reineke; “Sorcery Suite Op. 112” by James Barnes, and “Rendezvous With the Other Side” by Richard Saucedo.

Members of the Symphonic Winds include: Heather Chance of Harrisburg, Alicia Deckard of Highland, Lindsay Krantz of Mountain Home, Caitlin Sammons of Bald Knob, Sara Mitchell of North Little Rock, Ashley Kriby of Cherokee Village, Misty Prater of West Memphis, Alexandra McDaniel of Marion, flute.

Other members are: Mylie Brown of Walnut  Ridge, Nicole Nebeker of Trumann, Jessica Toddy of Newport, Tiffany Patton of Marion, Regina Alexander of Osceola, Angela Williams of Forrest City, Melanie Partin of Conway, Amy Van Slyke of Hardy, clarinet; Misti Cook of Russellville, Terana Griffin of Paragould, bass clarinet.

Additional members are: Patrick Manes of Bryant, Daniel Coward of Wynne, Tonia Spurlock of Ash Flat, Amanda Johannes of Sherwood, Daidreon Clayton of Jonesboro, alto saxophone; Daniel Rickman and  Victor Hugo Swain, both of Jonesboro, tenor saxophone; Adam Leslie of Jonesboro, baritone saxophone; Vanessa Johns, Chelsea Bills, and Josh Garder, all of Paragould, Will Hartzel of Forrest City, Luke Walker of Pocahontas, Russell L. Page of Trumann, trumpet.

Other members are: Lauren Grey of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Laura Thompson and Phillip Pruett, both of Jonesboro, Alice Hart of Bryant, horn; Jason Payne and Ryan Barnet, both of Poplar Bluff, Seth Weston and  Matt Strawbridge, both of Jonesboro, Tyrone Cobb of Dumas, Eric Palmer of Bald Knob, trombone;  Scott Lackey of Avilla, David Barrentine of Walnut Ridge, Laura Garautte of Cabot, euphonium; Jay Shepherd and Jeff Miller, both of Paragould, Adam Savage of Bryant, Nick Garrett of Trumann, William Woods of Tunica, Ms., tuba; Ben Pruett, Maria Calamita, and Adam Watkins, all of Jonesboro, Perry Harper of Paragould, Alexander Anderson of Marion, R.J. Penn of Benton, percussion.

Sherri Fincher is the director for the Concert Band. The program for the evening will include “Bonds of Unity” by Karl L. King arr. Swearingen; “Greensleeves” arr. Alfred Reed and “Fallen, Fallen is Babylon” by Jared Spears.

Personnel of the Concert Band include: LaShay McDuff of Forrest City, Ashleigh Rainwater of Jonesboro, Danielle Weckmann of Brookland, Allison Wells of Crossett, A.J. Wetton of Van Buren, Mo., flute; Jessica Crociata of Tampa, Fla., oboe; Mylie Brown of Walnut Ridge, Justin Crabb of Paragould, Melanie Partin of Conway, Allie Kirk of Ravenden, Stacy Stewart of Prescott, Jennifer Specking of Wynne, Brittney Winfrey of Marion, Regina Alexander of Osceola, clarinet.

Additional members are: Whitney McCargo of West Memphis, bass clarinet; Andrea Coldwell of Brookland, Brandon Freeman of Dumas, Amanda Johannes of Sherwood, Shirley Smith of West Memphis, saxophone; Walker Crain of Jonesboro, Michael Newsome of Memphis, Tenn., tenor saxophone; Adam Leslie of Jonesboro, baritone saxophone; Daniel Harrelson of Warren, Kendra Sauheaver of Sherwood, Beth Sullivan of Sherwood, Natalie Woods of Crossett, French horn; Ben Light of West Ridge, Matt Gipson of Jonesboro, Jon Stevenson of North Little Rock, Chris Summer of Fayetteville, trumpet.

Other members are: Chance Caleb of Jacksonville, Jared Huffmaster of Paragould, Casey Murphy of Pocahontas, Cody Simpson of Nettleton, trombone; Jennifer Hall of Tyronza, Brandon Hill of Marion, Jessica Wescott of Marion, euphonium; John Hoskins of Paragould, Derrick Palmer of Brinkley, Jacklyn Reeder of Cabot, tuba; Ralo Brown of Dumas, Maria Calamita of Jonesboro, Jessica Crociata of Tampa, Fla., Chris Knight of Little Rock, Courtney Parker of West Memphis, Deja Young of San Antonio, percussion.
