Schedule announced for 2006 Summer
Children's Theatre at ASU

April 12, 2006 -- The Arkansas State University Theatre has released the schedule for the 2006 Summer Children’s Theatre season.

The 11th season of children’s theatre at ASU will open with “Nick Tickle, Fairy Tale Detective” by Steph Deferie. Join Nick as he sets out to locate the Mysterious Figure who’s been pilfering all the props! He may require some help from the audience, but Nick Tickle is out to solve his toughest case ever. There’s sure to be plenty of clever audience participation and lots of laughs for junior detectives and their grown-ups.

Performance dates are Wednesday, June 21, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Thursday, June 22, at 10 a.m., and Friday, June 23, at 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The production of Nick Tickle, Fairy Tale Detective is sponsored by Brackett-Krennerich & Associates, Architects of Jonesboro. Click here for more details.

The second production of the 2006 season will be “Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf” by Tom McCabe. Join this hilarious comedy, which cleverly combines the tale of The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood with a hungry wolf stuck between them! Children and adults will delight in the whirlwind antics of the three pigs, a French Canadian woodsman, and Cornelius B.B. Wolf, who might actually get something to eat, if he doesn’t keep blowing things away. Performance dates are Wednesday, July 26, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Thursday, July 27, at 10 a.m. and Friday, July 28, at 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The production of Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf is sponsored by The Golden Grotto of Jonesboro.

All performances will be held at Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, on the ASU campus.

All seating is reserved. Tickets should be purchased in advance at the ASU Central Box Office in the Convocation Center for $4 or by calling 870-972-ASU1, or online at Tickets.astate.edu. Tickets may also be purchased at the door (if available) on the day of the performance for $5 each. Reservations are highly recommended.
