ASU SBTDC to host two-night
QuickBooks workshop Oct. 5 and Oct. 7

The ASU Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) will
offer a two-night hands-on Intermediate QuickBooks workshop, Tuesday,
October 5 and Thursday, October 7th from 6 – 9 p.m. at the ASU Technical
Center, 5504 Krueger Drive, Jonesboro.
Instructors are Linda Harvey, Jones and Company, Ltd., and Sherry
Hensley of Computer Tutor, both certified QuickBooks instructors. This
workshop is for organizations currently using QuickBooks to provide
advanced training in this popular computerized accounting system.
Topics will include: advanced features of accounts receivable and
payable (Oct. 5 session); effective inventory management techniques
(Oct. 5 session); complex issues of payroll (Oct. 7 session);
and how to correct previous errors on postings (Oct. 7 session).
The two- night sessions are designed to stand alone, and attendees
should be comfortable operating a personal computer in a Windows
environment. Seating is limited to 19 students.
The seminars are being co-sponsored by the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of
Commerce, Jones and Company, Ltd., Computer Tutor and East Arkansas
Planning and Development District, Downtown Jonesboro Association (DJA),
First Security Bank, Liberty Bank of Arkansas and Simmons First Bank.
Registration is $80 per workshop or $120 for both nights Jonesboro
Chamber and DJA members pay $100 for both sessions. To register or
