Guerilla Marketing Boot Camp sessions offered by ASU Small Business center

March 2, 2009 -- Arkansas State University’s Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) is introducing a new training seminar designed to assist small business owners in northeast and north central Arkansas called  “Guerrilla Marketing Boot Camp.”

The first boot camp is set for Thursday, March 5, from 6-9 p.m. at the Baxter County Library, 424 W. 7th Street, Mountain Home. Registration is $35 with a discount available to chamber of commerce members.

Herb Lawrence, center director for SBTDC, was recently certified as a guerilla marketer in Orlando, Fla. Lawrence completed instruction from guerilla marketing founder Jay Conrad Levinson and will conduct the seminar.

Guerrilla marketing techniques are inexpensive and can cost nothing to business marketing if marketing efforts are creative and unconventional. The boot camp offers marketing ideas.

Co-sponsors are Baxter County Library, Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce, First National Banking Company (FNBC), Liberty Bank of Arkansas, Community First National Bank, and Norfork Lake Chamber of Commerce.

The Guerrilla Marketing Boot Camp is also being offered 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB), 2001 White Drive, Independence Hall 104, in Batesville, and again Thursday, March 26, at the ASU Technical Center, 5504 Krueger Drive, in Jonesboro.
