Small Business Development Center offers two workshops Thursday, Sept. 25

Sept. 17, 2008 -- The Arkansas State University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is offering two workshops--Business Financing Options and Design Your Own Web Page II-Advanced-- for business owners and entrepreneurs, Thursday, September 25.

The advanced web page design seminar runs from 1-4 p.m., while the financing options workshop is 6-9 p.m. Both are in the ASU Technical Center, 5504 Krueger Drive, in Jonesboro.

Herb Lawrence, ASU SBDC director is the guest speaker for the financing options workshop. Registration fee is $35, and advance registration is requested.

The seminar explains how and where to secure financing for prospective and existing businesses.  Credit requirements, funding sites, and the Small Business Administration’s loan guaranty program will be presented.

The workshop is cosponsored by the East Arkansas Planning & Development District and   Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Guest speaker for Design Your Own Web Page II is Jim Bryant, computer specialist and President of IT Associates, LLC. Registration for the three-hour workshop is $49 and due to limited registration, advanced registration is requested.

This seminar demonstrates how to create online order forms and simple shopping carts.  Other topics covered are configuring a basic shopping cart and the use of checkboxes, radio boxes, drop down boxes, hidden fields and more.

Co-sponsors of the event are IT Associates, LLC, Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, and East Arkansas Planning and Development District.
