Artist Bill Rowe’s work
selected for exhibit in Austria

Bill Rowe, professor of art at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, has been selected as one of 50 New York artists for an exhibition to be held in Austria.

The exhibition titled, "New Art. New York: Reflections of the Human Condition" will be featured from December 2005 to May 2006 at two different locations in Austria.

Three pieces of Rowe’s work will be exhibited the exhibition, “Wonder Bar,” “Goats : 932-6078” and “Pluto or Plato”.

The exhibition was curated by independent curator and art advisor Margaret Mathews-Berenson of New York, and is sponsored by Trierenberg Holding AG, CEO, and collector of contemporary art, Christian Trierenberg.

Exhibition locations are included in Trierenberg’s recently transformed corporate headquarters into an exciting Kunsthalle in Truan, Austria, which hosts four changing contemporary art exhibitions per year. The other is in Salzburg at the beautiful new public exhibition space, Hangar 7 / Reb Bull Kunsthalle, during the Easter Festival that draws hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

This exhibition includes more than 100 works by 50 artists who live and/or work in New York City. The exhibition will include work of many established artists such as Ida Applebroog, Joe Amhrein, Chuck Close, Lesley Dill, Bill Jacobson, Glen Ligon and Sandy Skoglund, to mention a few.
