ASU Red Wolves license plates now available in all Arkansas counties

June 12, 2008 -- Alumni, students and friends of Arkansas State University can take their pride for a ride. The new ASU Red Wolves license plates are now available in all Arkansas counties.



The specialty license plates help support student scholarships and as well as showing pride in ASU. The cost is $35 per year above the cost of a current standard plate, and $25 of this goes to the ASU License Plate Scholarship Fund.

Gary Pugh of Pocahontas, president of the ASU Alumni Association, said, "One of the reasons we chose the red wolves as ASU's new mascot is that they are not only fierce competitors but also very close-knit and family-oriented. We hope all friends of Arkansas State University will get a Red Wolves license plate as part of the ASU family. Since the plates also fund scholarships to help people in our region obtain a college education, it helps us all in the long run."
