The Department of Parking Services will have permit distribution centers this week in the following buildings on campus to promote registration of vehicles and distribute permits.

Permits are also available now directly from the DPS office in the University Police Building at 623 University Loop during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

Agriculture, 2-4 p.m.

Wednesday, July 28
Chickasaw, 9-11 a.m.

Facilities Management, 9-11 a.m.
Convocation Center, 2-4 a.m.
 

The following permits will be available at the above locations:

Faculty/Staff (FS) -- $70.00
Staff/Employee (SE) -- $50.00
Student (SD) -- $50.00
Motorcycle (MC) -- $50.00 ($10.00 if automobile permit purchased)

Most permits are available as hang tags or permanent stickers. However, the inventory of permanent stickers is limited due to very low demand during 2003-04.

To receive a permit, you will need to complete a bubble sheet that includes the license plate number of the primary vehicle you operate on campus. Please have this information when you arrive. You will also need your current drivers license or ASU ID.

Faculty and staff have two payment options: prepay or payroll deduction. To prepay, please make payment in full at the cashier window of the Administration Building. Have your receipt with you when you arrive to receive your permit. If you choose payroll deduction, proceed directly to the distribution location and complete a payroll deduction form that will be forwarded to Payroll Services.

New faculty/staff members or faculty/staff with new contracts need to wait until employee authorization forms are received from Human Resources before purchasing permits. The form will serve as authorization since the information will not be in the system.

Students are not required to prepay. The parking permit fee will be billed to individual student accounts.

If you have a contract space for the 2004-05 year, please advise the staff when you arrive. You will need to have your new permit validated for the lot in which your contract space is located. If you are eligible to park in disability parking, please take your new 2004-05 ASU permit to Disability Services to be validated. Finally, if you are a resident of Collegiate Park or Indian Village (apartments), please have the Collegiate Park/Indian Village staff validate your new 2004-05 permit. All validation stickers must be placed over one of the two rectangles located at the bottom of your hang tag or permanent sticker.
