HEOPS founder
Nancy Everitt to speak as part of R-TV Alumni Professional-in-Residence
Series
April 6, 2010
--
Nancy Everitt, founder,
president and chief executive officer of HEOPS, Inc. in Nashville,
Tenn., will visit the Arkansas State University-Jonesboro campus April
21-22, as the final series speaker of 2009-10 in the Radio-Television
Alumni Professional-in-Residence Series.
HEOPS provides departmental outsourcing/insourcing solutions and
strategic support to healthcare providers, ancillary service companies
and payors in the areas of billing, recoveries, managed care, network
development and healthcare back office support services.
A native of Jonesboro, Everitt graduated from Arkansas State University
with a double major in radio-television and economics in 1987. She spent
several years in the broadcast media before earning a master of business
administration degree from the University of Memphis in 1991. After
obtaining her master’s, she went into healthcare administration. She
worked for Columbia Healthcare for several years until a spinoff of two
new hospital companies: LifePoint and Triad. She joined LifePoint as
vice president of Managed Care.
She left LifePoint during the dot.com boom years to create an Internet
healthcare portal and content provider. Acknowledged for a
results-oriented and resourceful style, Everitt has achieved recognition
for her ability to resolve complex business issues via outsourcing
solutions, governmental regulatory familiarity, revenue cycle, managed
care, expedited network development and operations expertise.
Everitt is an R31 Tennessee Supreme Court Listed General Civil Mediator.
She was named among the 2005 Tennessean Top 40 Under 40 and received the
American Academy of Medical Administrators Horizon Award in 2002.
