Sept. 21, 2007 -- As part of the 25th anniversary celebration for the College of Nursing and Health Professions at Arkansas State University, a gala event will be held Friday, Oct 12, from 6 until 11 p.m. in Centennial Hall of the ASU Reng Student Services Center.

The evening activities will include a buffet dinner, silent auction, music by the Flowerland Street Band, and a program reflecting on the past 25 years. The cost per ticket is $55, or $400 for a table of eight. Seating is limited and the deadline for reservations is Monday, Oct 1. 

The event is co-sponsored by St. Bernard's Healthcare, Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy, Jonesboro, Lawrence Health Services, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Jonesboro, and Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, Paragould. On Saturday, Oct. 13, from 2-4 p.m., a Homecoming Day open house will be held in the College of Nursing and Health Professions.

Distinguished alumni awards will be presented at 2:30. Historical scrap books and photo albums will be on display. Tours of the building will be given. Drawings for the new Donald W. Reynolds Center for Health Sciences will be on display. This event is free and open to the public.
