Mrs. Milligan re-appointed
to ASU Board of Trustees

Jan. 12, 2006 -- Gov. Mike Huckabee today announced that he has re-appointed Mrs. Florine Tousant Milligan of Forrest City to the Arkansas State University Board of Trustees.

Dr. Les Wyatt, president of ASU, issued the following statement about Mrs. Milligan’s re-appointment:

"All of us at Arkansas State University are pleased that Mrs. Milligan has accepted this continuing role of service to the University and higher education," he commented. "We are grateful for her counsel and advice, her leadership skills, and her loyalty to her alma mater. We look forward to our continuing association with Mrs. Milligan."

The trustees serve staggered five-year terms. First appointed in 2001, Mrs. Milligan will now serve until January of 2011.

She has served during the past year as Board chair. The next trustees’ meeting is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 24, in Jonesboro.
