Mardi Gras Madness at Paragould
Chamber of Commerce on Feb. 9

Feb. 1, 2006 -- Everyone interested in attending Arkansas State University in Jonesboro is invited to “Mardi Gras Madness” at the Paragould Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, Feb. 9.

The drop-in will be held from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. and will include plenty of festive food, giveaways, prizes, and even a scholarship. Representatives from ASU will be available to answer questions about scholarships, admissions, and residence life. In addition, they will accept admissions, residence life and scholarship applications.

“We encourage anyone who is interested in ASU, or even those who have already made plans to attend A-State, to join us for Mardi Gras Madness. This will be a fun, informal way to get your questions answered or to just mix and mingle with others. Current ASU students will be attending, so they’ll be able to help anyone with questions about college life. We are planning for a great time with some great food,” said Jake Hampton, student recruiter for Greene County.

Mardi Gras Madness is sponsored by Kiss the Cook, Buffalo’s and Red Goose Deli.
The Paragould Chamber is located at 300 West Court St. and the event is free.
Wednesday, Feb. 15, is the priority deadline for ASU scholarships. All students applying for scholarships should submit a scholarship application and complete the admissions requirements prior to that date.

For more details, contact Jake Hampton at 870-972-3024 or 1-800-382-3030 or via email at jhampton@astate.edu.
