April 6, 2005--The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present the annual Student Honors Recital Monday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive. The student performers are selected by a panel of judges representing the music faculty. The students will present works by Ludwig von Beethoven, Johannes Brahms, Neal Corwell, Gaetano Donizetti, Carly Gorman, Charles Gounod, Fritz Kreisler, Frank Martin, Tim Miller, Kazimiez Serocki, Antonio Vivaldi, and Giuseppe Verdi. Personnel for the Student Honors Recital include: Nickolas Alsup of Harrisburg, piano; Katey Cravens of Jonesboro, marimba; Bryan Eckert of Jonesboro, bassoon; Corey Emerson of Poplar Bluff, Mo., tuba; Daphne C. Fudge of Forrest City, mezzo-soprano; Carly Gorman of Little Rock, composition; Daniel Harrelson of Warren, tenor trombone; Blake Howerton of Paragould, trombone; Andrew Kjorlaud of Paragould, baritone; Tim Miller of Corning, composition; Priscilla Noyes of Dexter Mo., piano; and Jonathan Shields of Osceola, tenor. Accompanists for the recital are Ellen Philpot, Joy Sanford, and Dr. Lauren Schack-Clark. The concert is free and open to the public.
