Heritage Studies Ph.D program presents Civil Rights Movement, panel discussion

Jan. 21, 2005--The Heritage Studies Ph.D. Program at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present the “The Legacy of the Civil Rights Movement: A Panel Discussion” on Thursday, Jan. 27, at 4:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Convocation Center on the ASU campus.

The program will include the following panelists:

Minnijean Brown Trickey -- Mary Gay Shipley Writing Fellowship
Visiting Writer, Heritage Studies
“Remembering the Significance of the Civil Rights Movement”

Dr. C. Calvin Smith -- Presidential Distinguished Professor of Heritage Studies, ASU
Retired Professor of History & ASU Distinguished Alumni
“Uncovering More History”

Dr. George Grant, dean of the Dean B. Ellis Library at ASU
“Publishing More History”
