Famed photojournalist Dirck Halstead to present workshop at ASU

Sept. 11, 2008 -- World-renowned TIME magazine photojournalist, educator, and media innovator Dirck Halstead will present a two-day Platypus workshop at Arkansas State University on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 22-23, in ASU's College of Communications, Room 218. Halstead is famous for these workshops, which are described as “high-definition storytelling for journalists, photojournalists, editors, and producers.”

DAY ONE

Covers history of the Platypus, including how the name came to be, the changes in photojournalism in the past two decades, trends in the newspaper industry, how the web will save the brand of the newspaper and its photo staff.
