Mark Glaser to speak to students; College of Communications to hold reception

March 6, 2008 --The student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and The Herald will host a reception for media critic, journalist, and new media expert Mark Glaser at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 27, in Room 224 (The Herald Office). The reception will provide an opportunity for members of the campus community to visit with Glaser one-on-one and to ask questions.

Glaser’s  tentative schedule is listed below.
At 9:30 a.m. Thursday, March 27, Room 233, Glaser will meet with students from the following classes:
Digital Media and Citizen journalism class, taught by Dr. Russ Shain,
Seminar in Digital Media and Design, taught by Dr. Lily Zeng,
News Reporting, taught by Amanda Watlington.
 
11 a.m. Lunch
 
At 12:30 p.m. Room 218, Glaser will meet with
Public Affairs Reporting, taught by Bonnie Thrasher.
 
At. 3 p.m. a reception will be held for Glaser, sponsored by the student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and The Herald, in Room 224 (The Herald Office.)
 
5 p.m. Dinner
 
7 p.m. Lecture-Concert Presentation
