ASU welcomes the Centennial Class
of 2009 with First Year Convocation

Faculty members at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will be formally introduced to the Centennial Class of 2009 this Sunday, Aug. 21, at 2 p.m. in Fowler Center.

All first-year students will be honored with a formal introduction and reception for those who will graduate in the spring of 2009 – the year ASU celebrates 100 years since its founding.

First-year students and their parents have been invited to the annual First Year Convocation, which is hosted by the Office of Research and Academic Affairs. The reception will include a time for students and their families to meet with faculty members and with other first-year students.

The induction of the Class of 2009 marks an important time in the history of the university.
