ASU Faculty Women's Club announces
fall 2010 event schedule

September 28, 2010 -- The Arkansas State University Faculty Women's Club announces events on its fall 2010 calendar. The organization encourages a spirit of community among female members and supports activities in the best interest of the membership, the university and the community. Eligibility for active membership includes women faculty members and administrators as well as wives of faculty members and administrators.

On Thursday, Oct. 7, the annual Fall Welcome will be held at the Cooper Alumni Center on the ASU campus at 2600 Alumni Boulevard. ASU Interim Chancellor Dan Howard will address the group and serve as host for the evening. New officers for the 2010-11 academic year will be recognized, members will be invited to sign up for special interest groups, and guests can enjoy an evening of fellowship.

Upcoming events include the Madrigal Feaste, an annual treat held in the Grand Hall of Fowler Center and will be sponsored by the Faculty Women's Club on Friday, Dec. 3. More information will be available as the event approaches.

This year's FWC president is Dr. Myleea Hill, Assistant Professor of Journalism. Vice President for Programs is Libby James, program coordinator in Childhood Services. Other FWC officers this year are Dr. Ann Ross, Paula Bradberry, Dr. Nancy Hendricks, and Tisha Pierce who serves as president-elect.
