Fowler Center Series presents the Memphis Symphony Orchestra in 'Messiah' oratorio

- The Memphis Symphony Orchestra will present HMaestro David Loebel, conductor of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, pauses during a passage.andel’s Messiah with the combined choruses of Arkansas State University, on Thursday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m., in Fowler Center’s Riceland Hall, 201 Olympic Drive, Jonesboro.

Building on the exciting collaboration between the Memphis Symphony and the choirs of Arkansas State University, music director and principal conductor David Loebel will bringthe Memphis Symphony back to Riceland Hall for a performance of Handel’s beloved oratorio.

Maestro Loebel will lead a stage full of musicians – the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and soloists, the combined choruses of Arkansas State University, and a Jonesboro Community chorus – in one of the world’s best known pieces of music. Soloists for the performance are Jennifer Goode Cooper, soprano; Karen Showalter, alto; Stanley Warren, tenor; and Sean Cooper, bass. For more information, visit www.memphissymphony.org.
