Fowler Center Series presents Neil Berg's '100 Years of Broadway' Nov. 16

Oct. 29, 2008 -- The Fowler Center Series presents Neil Berg’s “100 Years of Broadway” onDanny Zolli, Carter Calvert, and Rob Evan perform in Neil Berg's "100 Years of Broadway," at Fowler Center Sunday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m. in Riceland Hall, Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Drive, Jonesboro.

ow, “100 Years of Broadway,” features Broadway stars performing songs from the best of Broadway’s musicals, including hits from “Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Miserables,” “Jersey Boys,” “Chicago,” “Mamma Mia,” and more. Broadway’s most beloved songs are featured, too, with treasured numbers from Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, John Kander and Fred Ebb, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.  Neil Berg is at the piano in this jubilant review, supported by an all-star New York band.

Neil Berg is the composer/lyricist of the hit Off-Broadway musical, “The Prince and the Pauper,” and he has produced more than a thousand Broadway concerts around the world, working with stars like Michael Crawford, Rita Moreno, Bernadette Peters, and Ben Vereen. For the past 15 years, Berg has served as the musical director/entertainment coordinator for the Leukemia Society of America and Covenant House. He was named the American Red Cross Man of the Year in 2001 for his charitable work, and honored again for that work in 2003 by the United  Hospice Foundation.

Tickets for all Fowler Center Series events may be purchased by calling 870-972-2781 or 1-888-278-3267, or online at http://tickets.astate.edu. On performance evenings, the box office in Fowler Center opens one hour prior to the event.

Ticket prices are $30 and $20 for adults; $24 and $16 for ASU faculty and staff; $23 and $15 for senior adults and K-12 students; and $10 and $6 for ASU students.
