April 29, 2005 -- Four students in the College of Engineering at Arkansas State University were recognized at a Convocation of Scholars honors ceremony as the college’s most outstanding graduates, according to Dr. Rick Clifft, interim dean of the college. Awards are presented annually to the top graduating senior in each of the college’s degree programs and professional concentrations. The award recipients were: Ryan Orth Meyer of Batesville, engineering (mechanical engineering concentration); Anthony S. Cook of Cedarville, engineering (electrical, computer, and information engineering concentration); Matthew E. Tinsley of Jonesboro, engineering (civil engineering concentration); and James E. Wright of Jonesboro, technology management. # # # Local information for hometown news media: Anthony Cook's parents are Glennis and Sandy Cook of Cedarville.
