Department of Music presents ASU Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble Oct. 25

October 19, 2010 -- The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present the ASU Tuba and Euphonium Ensemble in concert on Monday, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in the Minx Rehearsal Hall of the Fine Arts Center, 2412 Quawpaw Way, Jonesboro.  The concert will include performances of “Canzona a Quarti Toni” by Girolamo Frescobaldi, “The Furies” by Neal Corwell, “Five” by Thomas Albert, and “Manhattan Suite” by John Stevens.

Members of the ensemble include Eric Barnet of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Blake Craft of Corning, Jacob Davis of Piggott, Derek Escue and John Hays of Jonesboro, Josh Henderson of Manila, Kory O’Brien of Batesville, Andrew Davis and Zack Rikard of Hardy, Shawn Travelstead of Salem, Matt Watson of Walnut Ridge, and Charles Willis of Fort Smith.  The ensemble is under the direction of Dr. Ed Owen, associate professor of music at ASU.
