Department of Music presents ASU Trombone Choir, April 14

April 8, 2008 -- The Department of Music at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will present the Choir in concert on Monday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Fowler Center, Riceland Hall, 201 Olympic Drive, Jonesboro.

The Trombone Choir is under the direction of Dr. Neale Bartee. The program features “Fanfare for 8 Trombones and Timpani” by James Kazik, featuring Trent Duff on timpani; “Psalm 84: Cantique de Jean Racine” by Gabriel Faure, arranged by Tom Godfrey, featuring Joy Sanford on piano; “Great Lakes Octet” by Eric Ewazen; “Rock” by Alan Rap; “Chicago Medley” arranged by Pete Madsen; “Look at the Sky” by Carlos Antonio Jobim, arranged by Stan Pethel; and “Champions Rock,” arranged by Neale Bartee.

Personnel includes; Kade Holliday of Jonesboro, Kyle Manley of Paragould, Jonathon McAlister of Marion, Treavor Mitchell of Westside, Colton Morrison of Magnolia, Sam Osborn of Paragould, Jeremy Ramsey of Brinkley, Corey Spencer of Wynne, Braxton Washington of Little Rock, Jay Shepherd, guitar, of Paragould,  Kevin Cremeens, bass, of Westside and Perry Harper, drums, of Paragould.
