Distinguished Performance Awards, Service Recognition awards ceremony set

April 2, 2008 -- In 1994, ASU began honoring non-faculty employees with the Distinguished Performance Awards and also began to recognize non-faculty employees who contributed significant years of service to ASU.

The 2008 Distinguished Performance Awards and Service Recognition ceremony marks the 14th year for this event. The ceremony will be held Monday, May 5, at 2 p.m. in the Student Union Auditorium, with a reception to follow in the Heritage Lounge. Retirees will also be recognized at the ceremony.

As of this year, more than 130 Distinguished Performance Awards have been presented, and more than 720 employees have been recognized for significant years of service to ASU.

Categories for the Distinguished Performance Awards are: clerical/secretarial; executive/managerial; non-faculty/professional; service/maintenance; skilled crafts; technical/paraprofessional; part-time; and customer service (a student-nominated award).
