ASU hosts Discover Diversity
April 1 & 2 at the new Student Union

March 4, 2005--Arkansas State University in Jonesboro will host the 7^th annual Discover Diversity Leadership Conference the weekend of Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2, offering minority high school students a look at scholarship opportunities, college preparation and career choices along with academic fairs, speakers and activities.

Discover Diversity is sponsored by the Office of Admissions and will be held in the Heritage Plaza on the third floor of the new Student Union on the ASU campus.

“This is a dynamic weekend for students. Discover Diversity will expose these high school seniors to college life, career planning, and so much more. They will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with faculty, staff, alumni and students,” said Candice Seward, assistant director of admissions and coordinator of minority recruitment.

“Students who met the criteria were given an invitation by their school counselors, as space is limited,” said Seward.

Outstanding juniors and seniors from high schools in eastern Arkansas and the Memphis, Tenn., area have been invited.
