Vice president for University Advancement Steve Owens, who announced the appointment, said, "We are very excited to have Christy Valentine join the Advancement team as director of development. Her corporate experience, coupled with her academic credentials, makes her a wonderful fit for the position."

Christy ValentineValentine holds both a bachelor of science degree in marketing and a master's degree in business administration from the College of Business at ASU. She was chosen as the college’s Outstanding Marketing Student as an undergraduate and its Outstanding Graduate Student. She served as an adjunct instructor of marketing and business communications in the College of Business beginning in 2001, then became a full-time instructor in the Department of Management and Marketing in August 2002, teaching eight undergraduate courses.
